Assistance in obtaining a residence permit

A temporary or a permanent residence permit gives the right to reside in this part of the island. When buying any residential property, you and your entire family will receive this document. For comparison, in South Cyprus, in order to get a residence permit, you need to spend at least 300,000 EUR on real estate.

Obtaining a permanent residence permit is quite simple:

• you can purchase real estate for any amount;
• stay in the country without time limit;
• it is not necessary to start a business in this country;
• a residence permit is issued at the migration department of the local police.

The following documents are submitted for registration:

• Copy of the passport with the original (as well as a page with a stamp of a touristic visa);
• Confirmation of long-term residence (sales agreement or long-term lease);
• 2 colorful photos;
• You will also need a certificate from the so-called Mukhtar. In Northern Cyprus, this is what village elders are called. You can find them in any settlement, so focus primarily on the area where you plan to live;
• Post stamps (value up to $2);
• Confirmation from the bank that you have on your account £10,000 or the equivalent in another currency;
• Birth certificate of the child;
• If you are married, do not forget also the marriage certificate translated into English. It will also have to be certified in the Northern Cyprus court at the place of residence;
• Afterwards, you will need to collect your negative infectious disease test results in a sealed envelope and submit it to the immigration office in Nicosia.

A stamp with a residence permit is put within a month after payment of the state duty. You need to renew your residence permit annually.
